Three Little Photographers
Last Saturday I had the wonderful pleasure of taking pictures of one of the sweetest families. They have quickly become close to my heart, as we share a sad but deep connection from the loss of child. I had a little help during the session, from three of the cutest photographers I have ever met!

Rainbow baby-Hudson Blake
A rainbow baby is a baby born after a loss of a child. Hudson was very excited to meet his mommy, and came a little early. He holds a special place in my heart because he was born on Tristan's due date.

Opening in July
Dana Sue Photography will officially start taking sessions in July.
I have decided that due to my pregnancy, (SURPRISE! We are pregnant again!) I will be taking only a few sessions a week over the next couple of months. I will continue to work as a full time teacher, so all sessions will be scheduled around school hours, and on the weekends.
Thanks to the insanity of our recent move, and the exhaustion that has plagued me with this new pregnancy, I have done a horrible job of blogging my last couple of sessions before I left Breckenridge. So keep an eye out for not only my favorites from over the last couple of months, but also some New Kid On The Block Specials (what can I say I was a huge fan back in the day).
So Austinites, make sure you like Dana Sue Photography on Facebook, so you do not miss out on any specials or minis coming your way. I am so thrilled to be in Austin, and I can't wait to get to know you and your family.
Also be on the look out for my new photography project for the year. My personal monthly collage journal pages.

Shaeli
A few weeks ago, I got to snuggle up with this little girl. I am not going to lie it was a hard shoot for me. This little princess was born the day before my angel. Don't get me wrong though, it was totally worth it!

Dana Sue Photography-On Hold
So as many of you have probably already been able to tell, Dana Sue Photography has been on hold for several months. I honestly had no intention of putting it on hold this long, but God had other plans. It started with just a rough first trimester pregnancy. I was extremely sick, all the time. I thought it would all go away once my second trimester started. I was wrong. Second trimester just brought something Rod nor I were expecting.
At our 20 week appointment, our son, Roderick Tristan, was diagnosed with a neural tube defect, that will eventually take his life. Every since it has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride of emotions. As of right now, I am almost at the 31 week mark, and Tristan is still living happily inside of me. However, due to other problems that are starting to occur due to his defect I could go into labor at any moment.
So what does this mean for Dana Sue Photography? It means at this time, I am focusing on my family, and spending as much time as a family of four as possible.
What does this mean for the future of Dana Sue Photography? Well more than ever I have realized that photography is my passion and my dream, and I want to pursue this more than ever. Photography has been a passion of mine since I was very young, it has also been one of my biggest fears. Through the journey my family and I have embarked on I feel more sure than ever this is the direction I need to go to glorify God.
The future of Dana Sue Photography is brighter than ever before. In the next few months be looking for personal photos of my family growing in grief, and learning to find joy in the down pour. I have found that my passion God has given me will be my saving grace, and will bring me comfort through the extreme pain.
Also be watching out for the redesign and the official reopening of Dana Sue Photography.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused, and please be patient with me through this transition. I am extremely excited about what the future holds for Dana Sue Photography, but right now, I have to focus on my family.
